Management Entrance Test–2013

1. Last dates for receipt of Application Form for Entrance Test. :-

(i) Without late fee February 19, 2013 (Tuesday) (upto 4.00 p.m.)

(ii) With late fee of Rs.1000/- February 26, 2013 (Tuesday) (upto 4.00 p.m.)

2. Date for Despatch of Admit Cards :- March 5, 2013 (Tuesday)

3. Date and Day of Test March 17, 2013 (Sunday)

4. Centre of Examination :-Chandigarh, Delhi, Ludhiana,

5. Time of Examination :- 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

6. Availability of Prospectus By Hand (Cash Only for Rs. 1750/-) (In case of SC/ST candidates Rs. 875/-) at Post Office, Panjab University Sector 14, Chandigarh, Sector-17 Chandigarh, Ludhiana G.P.O. and Delhi G.P.O. or By Post from the Manager, Publication Bureau, PU, Sector-14, Chandigarh by sending a Bank Draft for Rs.1830/- in favour of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh (In case of SC/ST candidates Rs.955/-). In case form has been downloaded from the Internet, please attach requisite fee of Rs.1750/- (In case of

SC/ST candidates, Rs. 875/-) in the form of a bank draft in favour of Registrar, Panjab University payable at Chandigarh.

Protest against the derogatory comments on SC/ST and OBC

In their meeting held on January 28, 2013, Ambedkar Student’s Association (ASA) of Punjab University, Chandigarh has condemned the comments of Mr. Ashish Nandi, a sociologist on the SC/ST and OBC. Ambedkar Students' Association (ASA) demanded from the Centre Govt. to take a serious notice on this ill-fated statement.

All the member of the ASA felt that his statement will cause a deep pressure on the mind of the employees of SC/ST and OBC, who are working in the Govt. Sector. The so-called high caste officers will be tempted to mentally torture the SC/ST and OBC in the Govt. offices and will also spoil their image in the society.

The derogatory comments on SC/ST and OBC by the so-called sociologist in a literature fair on the day when nation celebrates the implementation of the Indian Constitution which was written by a veteran SC Leader Bharat Rattan Dr B.R. Ambedkar, interpreted the mind set of the so-called high class people towards the Dalits.

ASA demands that Govt. should issue a non-bailable warrant to arrest the Culprit and a case are registered under the SC/ST Act.
